Irina De Silva

Irina De Silva is a psychotherapist and executive coach with over twenty years of experience helping people navigate complexity whether leading organisations through change or moving through personal transitions that ask for both clarity and courage. A certified CBT therapist (Beck Institute), she integrates evidence-based cognitive behavioural therapy with mindfulness, neuroplasticity-informed practices (trained in the work of Rick Hanson), and somatic and meaning-centred approaches.

Alongside her therapeutic practice, Irina spent 15+ years at SKOLKOVO Business School designing executive programmes in collaboration with institutions such as IMD, MIT, and Singularity University. At Kemara she works with professionals and individuals facing stress, burnout, and the patterns that shape everyday wellbeing and our relationship with the body offering structured frameworks and a safe, unhurried space for sustainable change.

Irina offers a structured, evidence-based counselling process for professionals and individuals navigating stress, burnout, and periods of change. Her work draws on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural skills (DBT), mindfulness, neuroplasticity-informed and somatic practices, and a meaning-centred approach. The focus is on insight, integration, and practical change building skills and steadiness that last, rather than short term fixes.

Change is more possible than we sometimes believe. The mind is not fixed. Through the science of neuroplasticity, we understand that attention, gentle practice, and lived experience continue to shape the brain throughout our lives. What we tend to, slowly strengthens. This is the hopeful premise beneath the work: that with the right support, new patterns can take root while older ones gradually loosen their hold.

In counselling with Irina, you are met with both structure and space. Drawing on cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, neuroplasticity-informed and somatic practices, and a meaning-centred lens, the work helps you understand what is shaping your situation, move gently through the patterns beneath it, and reconnect with what matters most. The aim isn’t a quick fix or a label, but insight that settles in and change that lasts.

And something tender happens in these passages, when we move through them with care: the experience that once unsettled us begins to crystallise  into clarity, into steadiness, into a kind of quiet wisdom that becomes part of who we are. Difficulty, met gently, doesn’t simply pass. It teaches. And often, on the other side, we feel not smaller, but more fully ourselves.
